Where can they buy books? I’d like to get my son or daughter a Humber shirt. Where can I do that? Follett’s is a major bookstore chain in many of North America’s colleges and universities, so they are able to supply our students with books and supplies at competitive prices. Are there jobs on campus? How do students apply? CAREER & EMPLOYMENT SERVICES North: H107 | Lakeshore: H201 Students attend Humber to acquire a meaningful position upon graduation. For many, the job search must start earlier. They need to find part-time and/or summer employment to help pay for their education or a work placement position as part of their program. We emphasize providing students with the information and skills they need to ensure that their job search is a successful one. Students need only to remember that this is a team effort. Their success is directly equal to the time and effort they are willing to give to their search. Our services include: • Resumé and interview assistance • Fax, photocopiers, computers for job search (no charge) • Assistance with personal marketing, career planning, resumés, cover letters, interviews • Part-time, on-campus, and full-time job listings through http://careers.humber.ca Jobs on campus: Approximately 900 jobs are listed on campus through our department, in areas such as athletics, residence, HSF, the library and so on. Advise your son or daughter to apply early for these positions (even mid August when many are first posted), as they go quickly.
