(Cegetel) in Toulouse.

built the Rouen CES.
industrial sectors: 100 housing units in Lunel
(renovation architect: H. Zirah), 59 in Montpellier
(renovation architect: H. Zirah), for the Arcade
group; a cogeneration building for the Montpellier
teaching hospital and Dalkia (renovation architect:
J.-L. Michel). In the East, Sogea and its subsidiaries
(Hallé, Chanzy-Pardoux, Urban and Sotram) did a
brisk business related to the start of work on the
Basel-Mulhouse and Vatry airports. Chanzy-Pardoux
completed restoration of Meinsberg Castle (renovation
architect: M. Goutal) and continued structural
renovation of the European school in Luxembourg
(architects: Cabinet Bauer) and restoration of
Strasbourg Cathedral.
In the Indian Ocean, Sogea continued its public
housing and school building activity. In 1999 it won
the contracts for construction of 125 housing units
in Saint-Louis (architects: Marraud-Lehaye-Delpech),
office space for the television station in Saint-Denis
(DPV Architecture) and the structural work and
sports facilities for the Saint-Benoît lycée (architect:
Ph. Goetz). Meanwhile SBTPC, which celebrated its
35th anniversary during the year, maintained its level
of activity in housing and expanded in the industrial
and service sectors.
Sogea is also developing in Madagascar and Mayotte,
examples being ongoing construction of the Pamadzi
middle school (architect: D. Héricourt) and the

Delivery times, service and dialogue
In 1999, Sogea’s recognized expertise in the design and
construction of industrial buildings was illustrated by the
construction, by Caroni, of the Astra Zeneca plant in Dunkirk
(architect: Jacobs Serete). In the field of industrial contracts,
Sogea attempts at all times to meet three requirements.
The first is stringent adherence to delivery times which are
always very tight. The second requirement relates to the level
of service expected by the customer. The third and final
requirement is the need to maintain a constant dialogue with
the client so as to adapt the project to the customer’s schedule
and budget constraints.
