the Army, overseeing Army enterprise solutions, to working at the Tricare<br />
Management Activities Offices, managing enterprise solutions for the Military<br />
Healthcare System. In his final assignment on active duty, Patrick served as a<br />
senior program analyst for a congressionally m<strong>and</strong>ated office, working on projects<br />
that involved DoD/VA sharing initiatives.<br />
While on active duty, Patrick was appointed Consultant for <strong>Nursing</strong> <strong>Informatics</strong><br />
to the Army Surgeon General. He has served as the Vice President for CARING,<br />
Board Member, <strong>and</strong> currently as Region III Director.<br />
Patrick received his Bachelors’ degree from the University of Texas Health<br />
Science Center in San Antonio. His Masters degree is from the University of<br />
Utah. He currently resides in Alex<strong>and</strong>ria, Virginia.<br />

Stephen Prouse lives in Maryl<strong>and</strong> with his wife <strong>and</strong> their children. He has been<br />
a CARING member since 2001, prior webmaster, <strong>and</strong> secretary. His clinical<br />
specialty is emergency nursing which he has over 10 years experience. In his<br />
currently job he works as the Director of Applications for a two hospital system.<br />
In this role he has responsibility to all the users of their clinical, administrative,<br />
<strong>and</strong> financial applications. He is board certified in nursing informatics <strong>and</strong> a<br />
graduate of the University of Maryl<strong>and</strong> School of <strong>Nursing</strong>. His personal interests<br />
include soccer with his boys <strong>and</strong> hi-tech gadgets of all sorts.<br />
