In addition, the National Credit Union Association (NCUA) has indicated it will increase its emphasis on risk management. Harrington will explore ways for identify, analyze, respond to, and monitor risks. Also, he will provide an overview of Enterprise Risk Management (ERS) while emphasizing credit and especially interest-rate risk and systems to monitor them. A Brave New World: Australia's Credit Union 'Banks' Louise Petschler, CEO, Abacus Montego DE Like credit unions everywhere, Australia's credit unions are challenged by differentiating themselves from banks while raising consumer awareness. Petschler, CEO of Abacus (which represents credit unions and other mutual organizations in Australia), will speak about recent developments in her country, where credit unions are legislated and regulated under the same rules as banks.
