Vizualogic to Release Android In-Headrest
Entertainment System
It may look like any other industrial space in the
neighborhood, but something exciting is happening
inside TMI’s corporate headquarters in Corona, California,
where the Vizualogic brand is ramping up for an
exciting new launch at this year’s SEMA Show. With new
products and a new look, Vizualogic is poised to make
a breakthrough in the automotive entertainment field.
Vizualogic got its start in rear-seat entertainment in
1999 with TMI’s Back Seat Theater, a flip-down roofmounted
display with a remote VHS player. The product
was a success, and the brand has grown exponentially
with TMI’s move to a larger facility in 2001. TMI’s
experience in matching OEM interiors for custom cars
quickly led to the creation of its headrest entertainment
line. By integrating high-quality screens into a headrest
that perfectly matches a vehicle’s OEM upholstery, it
quickly expanded into a whole new field.
That history of innovation has led to a formidable
product lineup. Vizualogic’s line of headrests feature
dual DVD players, USB and SD card connections, wireless
headphones and industry-leading high-resolution
glare-free screens with impressive viewing angles. Each
screen is carefully fitted in a handmade headrest that
is matched to a specific car to ensure an OEM fit and
finish. Once installed, you’d be hard-pressed to tell
the difference.
Vizualogic also has your rear seat entertainment needs
covered with a variety of roof-mounted flip-down monitors
that feature a larger screen the whole family can
enjoy. For smaller cars, the Roadtrip Elite center console
display is a perfect fit. It features an 8-in. screen that can
easily be viewed by rear-seat passengers, and it folds away
when not in use to save space. There’s also a universal
post-mounted system that features dual 9-in. screens.
Vizualogic has some exciting products for the driver
too, including a rearview mirror with an integrated GPS
screen and handsfree Bluetooth connection to your
mobile phone. The BlueLogic system integrates any
Bluetooth-enabled mobile phone with the car’s audio
system and allows music streaming and handsfree phone
calls—it even automatically mutes the radio when a call
is in progress.
Vizualogic’s newest product is the Hindsight Flip, a
small motorized screen connected to a rearview camera
that folds out when the car is in reverse to assist the driver
with blind spots behind the car... and stows itself away
once you shift back into drive.
Despite the success with its current product lines,
Vizualogic isn’t resting on its laurels. “We’ve always
stayed on the cutting edge, and we’re really excited
about what we have coming up this year,” said Aaron
Lyle marketing director. “With more and more people
living in a digitally connected world, we think the time
is right to integrate that technology into what we do.”
Vizualogic will unveil a new latest product at the 2012
SEMA show in October, a new headrest featuring the
Android operating system. Android is a full-fledged
mobile operating system that many users are already
familiar with from their smartphones and tablets. In
addition to enjoying their favorite songs and movies,
passengers will be able to browse the Internet, check
e-mail, play games and much more with this new product.
“When Vizualogic started out, VHS was all the rage.
Since then, we’ve added DVD and digital video files
and, now, we’re able to offer something that’s leaps and
bounds beyond audio and video,” said Lyle.
Vizualogic is launching a whole new theme to go with
this year’s exciting new products. Of course, it’ll be showing
off its range of in-headrest entertainment, including
products for plenty of the hottest ’13 vehicles, in a bigger,
redesigned booth where there will be demos of all
its products, including the new Android product. So,
head on over to booth #11745 to check out the latest
from Vizualogic.
“Our team is really pumped up for the Show this
year. Android is huge and what we can do with it is very
exciting! It’s going to change rear-seat entertainment as
we know it.”
