Both <strong>Prime</strong> <strong>Minister</strong>s attended a meeting <strong>of</strong> the Global Movement <strong>of</strong><br />

Moderates held on-campus, where they spoke about moderate Islam and<br />

how fundamentalism bears no reflection on the true values <strong>of</strong> Islam and that<br />

it should not be tolerated.<br />

<strong>The</strong> meeting also included a Q&A session on global politics during which<br />

both <strong>Prime</strong> <strong>Minister</strong>s answered questions from the students on, among<br />

others the political situation in Burma, Iran, Palestine and Israel.<br />

<strong>The</strong> signing was followed by a round table meeting between key heads<br />

<strong>of</strong> universities in the UK and <strong>Malaysia</strong>.<br />

<strong>The</strong> <strong>British</strong> <strong>Prime</strong> <strong>Minister</strong>, Rt. Hon.<br />

David Cameron visited <strong>The</strong> <strong>University</strong><br />

<strong>of</strong> <strong>Nottingham</strong> <strong>Malaysia</strong> Campus (UNMC)<br />

on 12 April 2012 as part <strong>of</strong> an <strong>of</strong>ficial<br />

two-day trip to <strong>Malaysia</strong>. He was joined<br />

by Y.A.B. Dato’ Sri Mohd Najib Tun Abdul<br />

Razak, the <strong>Prime</strong> <strong>Minister</strong> <strong>of</strong> <strong>Malaysia</strong>, in a<br />

visit that served to reinforce the bilateral<br />

ties between the two countries.<br />
