Generic cabling<br />

<strong>Draka</strong> Linkki is <strong>Draka</strong>’s premises cabling solution<br />

for a highly reliable open cabling system.<br />

<strong>Draka</strong>’s wide cable range covers products suitable<br />

for premises communication networks. As the<br />

generic cabling application standards have been<br />

revised, these <strong>cables</strong> and other related components<br />

have been integrated into the concept of<br />

<strong>Draka</strong> Linkki.<br />

<strong>Draka</strong> Linkki is an open cabling system that<br />

complies with the European standard on<br />

generic cabling. The cabling system is suitable for<br />

telephone networks including broadband access<br />

interfaces, local area networks and control and<br />

building automation applications. In terms of<br />

copper <strong>cables</strong>, we offer the UC (Universal Cable)<br />

series comprising generic <strong>cables</strong> in categories<br />

5, 6 and 7, and a Supercat cable for outdoor<br />

applications.<br />

For longer distances and connections between<br />

buildings, especially when fast connections are<br />

needed, we recommend the use of fibre <strong>optic</strong><br />

<strong>cables</strong>. The multimode fibre cable categories<br />

listed in the cabling standards are OM1, OM2<br />

and OM3. The corresponding categories for<br />

single-mode fibre <strong>cables</strong> are OS1 and OS2. We<br />

offer products in all these fibre classes.<br />

You can choose from our wide product range: the<br />

FZOMSU-SD, a generic premises cable suitable<br />

for indoor/outdoor use, and the FTMS for horizontal<br />

cabling. These <strong>cables</strong> can be supplied with<br />

different category fibres. Backbone <strong>cables</strong> can<br />

be terminated in an ORP 260 cross-connection<br />

distribution panel in building and floor distributors.<br />
