high crush strength. Suitable for direct burial<br />
by ploughing. Crew friendly installation. Rodent<br />
protected. Especially for premises networks<br />
Construction Optical fibre: Coloured <strong>optic</strong>al single-mode fibre<br />
(ITU-T G.652.D) and/or multimode fibre<br />
Secondary coating: Plastic core with a jelly-filled<br />
helical coating channel for the fibres. Spiral<br />
Space ® design.<br />
Wrapping: Cable core is wrapped longitudinally<br />
with swelling tape<br />
Protection: Corrugated steel tape coated with<br />
a copolymer of polyethylene on both sides is<br />
applied longitudinally with an overlap. Minimum<br />
overlap is 3.0 mm. The nominal thickness of the<br />
steel tape is 0.15 mm.<br />
Strength members: Two high tensile strength<br />
steel wires in the outer sheath, diameter 1.6 mm.<br />
Outer sheath: Cable sheath consists of UV<br />
resistant black polyethylene compound, nominal<br />
thickness 2.4 mm.<br />
