Application Optical fibre cable for duct installations. Suitable
for installation by pulling or air blowing. Stranded
loose tube construction with mid-access
property. Semi-dry construction with full water
blocking properties and for large temperature
range. High fibre counts possible.
Construction Optical fibre: Coloured optical single-mode fibre
(ITU-T G.652.D)
Secondary coating: Thermoplastic loose tube,
fully filled with non-toxic and dermatological
safe compound.
Fillers: Solid plastic fillers, if applicable
Central element: Central element consists
of fibre reinforced plastic (FRP), if applicable
covered with a polyethylene layer to fit into the
cable core
Cable core stranding: Loose tubes and fillers are
SZ-stranded around the central element
Longitudinal water tightness: Dry core with
water blocking elements
Moisture barrier: Aluminium tape coated with
a copolymer of polyethylene on both sides is
applied longitudinally with an overlap, minimum
overlap 3.0 mm
Sheath: Black UV resistant polyethylene sheath,
nominal thickness 1.5 mm
