Application Universal optical fibre cable for FTTH drop
applications for direct burial or duct installations.
Suitable for installations by ploughing, pulling,
pushing or air blowing. Especially for connecting
single family house to optical access network.
Central tube construction, Spiral Space ® design,
for max 12 fibres. Extra high crush strength.
Construction Optical fibre: Coloured optical single-mode fibre
(ITU-T G.652.D)
Secondary coating: Plastic core with a jelly-filled
helical coating channel for the fibres. Spiral
Space ® design.
Wrapping: Cable core is wrapped with water-
blocking elements
Protection: Corrugated steel tape coated with
a copolymer of polyethylene on both sides is
applied longitudinally with an overlap. Minimum
overlap is 3.0 mm. The nominal thickness of the
steel tape is 0.15 mm.
Strength members: Two high tensile strength
steel wires in the outer sheath, diameter 1.2 mm.
Outer sheath: Cable sheath consists of UV
resistant black polyethylene compound, nominal
thickness 1.5 mm.
