Next letters:

D = corrugated R = non-metallic strength element
H = aluminium tape

-Y = cable contains more than one type of fibre

Fibre count and grouping:
Numbers after cable design indicate number of fibre units
(tubes or groups) and number of fibres in the unit.
Alternatively only the total number of fibres can be indicated.
E.g. 4x6 (four units of six fibres)
Fibres and fibre coatings:
First two characters in fibre designation indicates fibre type,
the third character indicates the outer diameter of fibre coating,
followed by reference to standard:
