An exciting and unique tour for
2011 featuring various attractions
in and around our Capital City, from
the delights of Kew Gardens to
majestic St. Paul’s Cathedral and the
splendours of Buckingham Palace.
A visit to the Houses of Parliament
and a boat trip on the river Thames,
as well a visit to some of the not so
well known haunts of London’s east
end, ‘Jack the Ripper’ territory!
Monday We depart and make our way to
Buckinghamshire to arrive at the Bull Hotel where
we enjoy the next four night’s stay with dinner,
bed and breakfast.
Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday During your
holiday the following attractions will be included:
Buckingham Palace
Buckingham Palace is the official London
residence of the Queen and serves both as a
home and as an office. Visit the magnificent
State Rooms, lavishly furnished with some of the
greatest treasures from the Royal Collection.
Houses of Parliament
A guided tour of the Palace of Westminster, the
Chamber of the House of Lords, the House of
Commons and Westminster Hall.
River Thames Cruise
From Westminster Pier for a delightful 90 minutes
cruise heading west along the River Thames to
Kew Gardens.

Enjoy an afternoon of relaxation at the Royal
Botanic Gardens.
East End Sightseeing Tour
We travel into London for a sightseeing tour of
London’s East End, featuring the City of London
and the Bank of England, Royal London Hospital
(the Elephant Man), infamous Jack the Ripper’s
haunts, the ‘Blind Beggar’ pub, which gave
General Booth the idea for the Salvation Army
and Captain James Cook’s house.
St. Paul’s Cathedral
A fascinating guided tour of historic St. Paul’s
Cathedral, standing at the heart of the City of
London - and of the British Nation. Created in
the 17th Century by Sir Christopher Wren, the
Cathedral is a landmark the world over, a place
of celebration as well as remembrance.
Friday After breakfast we must depart and begin
our homeward journey.

Overlooking the picturesque village common in
Gerrard’s Cross, to the west of London, the 3 star
rated Bull Hotel was built as a coaching inn in
1688 on the old London to Oxford road. Today
the Bull maintains a charming period atmosphere
and is a hotel where you can expect a warm and
friendly welcome. The hotel’s beautiful gardens
provide a place to relax and quietly unwind after
your day out. Two bars, the traditional village bar
or the quieter cocktail bar. All the bedrooms are well

A holiday of many contrasts, from
the hustle and bustle of a busy
seaside resort, to the relaxing calm
of the Broads, to the historic City
of Norwich and also the quieter
resorts and towns of the region.
Something for everyone.
Sunday We depart in the morning and travel to
Great Yarmouth arriving at the Burlington Palm
Hotel in time for dinner. Enjoy the next 6 nights
stay with dinner, bed and breakfast. There will be
entertainment on some nights and an opportunity
to visit a local theatre.
Monday We begin the day with a visit to the
charming Norfolk Broads where we enjoy a cruise
on board the unique ‘Mississippi Paddle Boat’, a
luxury double deck river boat. This afternoon we
head west into Norwich. A visit to the Cathedral is
a must, also cobbled Elm Hill and the Castle Mall
shopping complex.
Tuesday A free day to explore and discover the
delights of Great Yarmouth and after an early
dinner there will be the chance for an evening out
at The Pavillion Theatre Gorleston (cost extra).
Wednesday Today’s excursion takes us first
along the coast and to Suffolk the timeless and
delightful resort of Southwold, little changed since
Victorian times. This afternoon we head inland to
Diss and Blooms of Bressingham Garden Centre.
Here you also have the opportunity to visit nearby
Bressingham Gardens and Steam Museum. The
gardens are renowned the world over for their
excellence. (entry extra)
Thursday Free day in Great Yarmouth or there
may be an opportunity to visit Royal Sandringham,
subject to Royal residence (cost extra).
Friday After breakfast we leave for a full day
excursion into North Norfolk and the popular resort
of Cromer, where we take a break. The church
tower is the tallest in Norfolk at 160ft and is well
worth seeing. From Cromer we continue on our way
to Thursford where we visit the unique collection
of organs, roundabouts and a mighty Wurlitzer
cinema organ (Thursford visit will not be available
on the October departure).
Saturday After breakfast we leave and begin our
homeward journey.

Palm Hotel stands in a quiet location on Great
Yarmouth seafront overlooking the sea. Hotel
facilities include heated indoor swimming pool or
you may choose to relax in the old fashioned way
cultivating new friends over a drink in one of our
