Monday We depart and make our way to<br />

Buckinghamshire to arrive at the Bull Hotel where<br />

we enjoy the next four night’s stay with dinner,<br />

bed and breakfast.<br />

Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday During your<br />

holiday the following attractions will be included:<br />

Buckingham Palace<br />

Buckingham Palace is the official London<br />

residence of the Queen and serves both as a<br />

home and as an office. Visit the magnificent<br />

State Rooms, lavishly furnished with some of the<br />

greatest treasures from the Royal Collection.<br />

Houses of Parliament<br />

A guided tour of the Palace of Westminster, the<br />

Chamber of the House of Lords, the House of<br />

Commons and Westminster Hall.<br />

River Thames Cruise<br />

From Westminster Pier for a delightful 90 minutes<br />

cruise heading west along the River Thames to<br />

East End Sightseeing Tour<br />

We travel into London for a sightseeing tour of<br />

London’s East End, featuring the City of London<br />

and the Bank of England, Royal London Hospital<br />

(the Elephant Man), infamous Jack the Ripper’s<br />

haunts, the ‘Blind Beggar’ pub, which gave<br />

General Booth the idea for the Salvation Army<br />

and Captain James Cook’s house.<br />

St. Paul’s Cathedral<br />

A fascinating guided tour of historic St. Paul’s<br />

Cathedral, standing at the heart of the City of<br />

London - and of the British Nation. Created in<br />

the 17th Century by Sir Christopher Wren, the<br />

Cathedral is a landmark the world over, a place<br />

of celebration as well as remembrance.<br />

Friday After breakfast we must depart and begin<br />

our homeward journey.<br />

1688 on the old London to Oxford road. Today<br />

A holiday of many contrasts, from<br />

the hustle and bustle of a busy<br />

seaside resort, to the relaxing calm<br />

of the Broads, to the historic City<br />

of Norwich and also the quieter<br />

resorts and towns of the region.<br />

Something for everyone.<br />

Sunday We depart in the morning and travel to<br />

Great Yarmouth arriving at the Burlington Palm<br />

Hotel in time for dinner. Enjoy the next 6 nights<br />

stay with dinner, bed and breakfast. There will be<br />

entertainment on some nights and an opportunity<br />

to visit a local theatre.<br />

Monday We begin the day with a visit to the<br />

charming Norfolk Broads where we enjoy a cruise<br />

on board the unique ‘Mississippi Paddle Boat’, a<br />

luxury double deck river boat. This afternoon we<br />

head west into Norwich. A visit to the Cathedral is<br />

a must, also cobbled Elm Hill and the Castle Mall<br />

shopping complex.<br />

Tuesday A free day to explore and discover the<br />

delights of Great Yarmouth and after an early<br />

dinner there will be the chance for an evening out<br />

at The Pavillion Theatre Gorleston (cost extra).<br />

Wednesday Today’s excursion takes us first<br />

along the coast and to Suffolk the timeless and<br />

delightful resort of Southwold, little changed since<br />

Victorian times. This afternoon we head inland to<br />

Diss and Blooms of Bressingham Garden Centre.<br />

Here you also have the opportunity to visit nearby<br />

Bressingham Gardens and Steam Museum. The<br />

gardens are renowned the world over for their<br />

excellence. (entry extra)<br />

Thursday Free day in Great Yarmouth or there<br />

may be an opportunity to visit Royal Sandringham,<br />

subject to Royal residence (cost extra).<br />

Friday After breakfast we leave for a full day<br />

excursion into North Norfolk and the popular resort<br />

of Cromer, where we take a break. The church<br />

tower is the tallest in Norfolk at 160ft and is well<br />

worth seeing. From Cromer we continue on our way<br />

to Thursford where we visit the unique collection<br />

of organs, roundabouts and a mighty Wurlitzer<br />

cinema organ (Thursford visit will not be available<br />

on the October departure).<br />

Saturday After breakfast we leave and begin our<br />

homeward journey.<br />

Palm Hotel stands in a quiet location on Great<br />

Yarmouth seafront overlooking the sea. Hotel<br />

facilities include heated indoor swimming pool or<br />

you may choose to relax in the old fashioned way<br />
