From each of these belts are two more, that go over each shoulder and join to an inertia reel, allowing you to lean forward to operate switches etc. The reel is angle adjustable and can go on floor or bulkhead. In front of this reel is another buckle, allowing you to break the seat belt at this point, as required on sports cars like the Alfa Giulietta for raising and lowering the hood (top).
