The sales are 2686 more in amount
than those of the corresponding
guarter, and the pm»parity of the
Society is slowly but surely increasing.
Recently a well-equipped, ap.
to.date Bakery has been built and
opened, and is already doing a
large trade. Now that tho Society
has land snd buildings valued n, t
81,900, after depreciniion, it ace&os
advisable that the Reser&e Fund
should be incrensed, looking st the
members' oapitsl account, which
stands at 21,690. To accom lish
this would lessen the amount or a
time available for dividend, but tho
members would bene6C in the long
ran. A smnll sacri6ce of present
benegts ought therefore to be mnde,
at tho instance snd with the sn porC
of those mombers who sre loya and
prudent, snd who realise what s
grand work co-operation hss already
accomplished, even in Bpalding,
where there sre so many elements
that tell against its success.
