Natal Studies in Classical Antiquity<br />
ISSN 1018-9017<br />
Scholia features critical and pedagogical articles and reviews on a diverse<br />
range <strong>of</strong> subjects dealing with classical antiquity, including late antique, medieval,<br />
Renaissance and early modern studies related to the classical tradition; in addition,<br />
there is information about Classics programmes in African universities and schools,<br />
news about museums and articles on classical artefacts in museums in Africa, and the<br />
B. X. de Wet Essay. (Not all sections necessarily appear in any single volume.)<br />
Manuscripts: Potential contributors should read the ‘Notes for Contributors’ located<br />
at the back <strong>of</strong> this volume and follow the suggested guidelines for the submission <strong>of</strong><br />
manuscripts. Articles on classical antiquity and the teaching <strong>of</strong> Classics in Africa are<br />
particularly welcome. Submissions are usually reviewed by two referees. Time before<br />
publication decision: 2-3 months.<br />
Subscriptions (1998): Africa R20 (+R2,80 VAT for RSA orders); outside Africa<br />
US$20/UK£13 (2 years: US$34/UK£22). Foreign subscriptions cover air mail<br />
postage, packaging and bank charges on institutional and personal cheques. After<br />
initial payment, a subscription to the journal will be entered. Back numbers may be<br />
ordered from the Business Manager.<br />
