It is an honor to join you at the American Academy of Nursing’s 39th Annual Meeting and
Conference. It is with immense anticipation and high expectations that I look forward to engaging
discussions with our Fellowship.
This year’s Annual Meeting and Conference, Transforming Health Care: Driving Policy highlights
the extraordinary capacity of this profession and organization to make a difference in people’s
lives. Your attendance is further testament to your dedication to influencing health policy by
dissemination of nursing’s contribution to improved health outcomes and care delivery.
The Academy is grateful for the collective talent of our Fellows that transforms health care
policy and practice through nursing knowledge. We have introduced the Policy Dialogues to
effectively utilize Fellows’ expertise to identify innovative solutions to some of the tough health
care challenges facing our nation. Whether you are a member of an expert panel or not, you are
invited to participate fully in these Dialogues and the subsequent policy implementation efforts.
We thank you for your effective involvement in advancing the voice of the Academy.
