A passion for vessels
n Silvia G. Belina was presented
the MPS award for her support and
dedication to DB SCHENKERmarineparts
on the occasion of her 25th
anniversary of service to the group,
which she celebrated together with
customers, friends and colleagues in
April this year. When Silvia Belina
joined former Rhenus Air Transport
in 1986, she quickly realized that the
marine industry needed transport
and logistics support to keep the vessels
going. She consequently started
developing this business long before
the product DB SCHENKERmarineparts
was officially founded – and she
has kept her passion for this product
until today.
Silvia G. Belina headed the

in Hamburg before joining

Change in Denmark
n Bjarne Steffensen, Chief Executive
Officer of Schenker A/S in Denmark,
retired at the end of August after 30
years with the group. He started at
Nordisk Bilspedition A/S (former
name of Schenker A/S) in 1981. Since
then, the company has merged and
changed its name several times – in
2003 to Schenker A/S as known today.
Bjarne Steffensen also made a significant
contribution to promoting the
expansion and working conditions of
the forwarding business in Denmark,
especially in his role as chairman of

as of January 2010 to form a team at
German corporate level with the aim
of developing the Aeroparts & Marineparts
business for the Central Europe
region. During the anniversary ceremony,
Joachim Zuraw, Joachim Fiebig,
PM Air Germany, and – as a special
surprise – Helge Jensen, Global Product
Management DB SCHENKER
marineparts EMEA made congratulatory
speeches to Silvia G. Belina, all
wishing her the best and hoping that
she will keep up her passion for big
vessels.

from 1997 to 2004.
He is followed by Henrik Dam
Larsen, who has over 30 years of
national and international experience.
Henrik Dam Larsen started his career
as a shipbroker. Now he joined the
group from a position as General Manager
at Blue Water Shipping A/S.
He also held leading positions at Cap
Gemini/Ernst & Young, INTTRA,
and DFDS.

Focus on crossregional
projects
n Effective October 1, 2011, Heinrich
Heimbrock became Senior Vice President
Engineering & Projects at the
Schenker AG Head Office. In this role
he replaced Michael Brandes, who
decided to pursue his career outside
of DB Schenker. Heinrich Heimbrock
will fulfill his new position in addition
to his existing role in performance
monitoring. He joined the group in
1993, and has worked since that time
in the corporate Corporate Logistics/
SCM organization. In his new responsibility
he will work hand in hand
with the regions and other corporate
functions. He will focus on crossregional
projects.
