0217 Kentucky Blue PVP 58 6 - 7" Round Medium-Dark Green White Kentucky Blue has an outstanding combination of quality<br />

characteristics from its Kentucky Wonder and Blue Lake<br />

parents. Flavor is similar to KY Wonder, but sweetened and<br />

enhanced by its Blue Lake parent. It is ready to harvest<br />

one week earlier than KY Wonder.<br />

0211 Dwarf Horticultural Taylor 60 6" Thick Flat Red Flecked Yellow Buff w/maroon Can be used early as green snaps but mostly used as green<br />

streaks shell beans. Plants are semi-runner and do well in cool climates.<br />

0223 McCaslan 63 7 - 8" Flat Oval Medium Green White A vigorous grower and heavy producer, unlike other varieties,<br />

producing from the ground up over a long season. The pods<br />

are thick and meaty, stringless, brittle, fine grained and of<br />

0221 Romano Pole 66 6" Flat Medium Green Buff Brown w/ This Italian flat pole bean gives high yields of meaty, thick,<br />

white eye and stringless pods that are edible when young. This variety<br />

has a distinctive, unique flavor. Plants are 72" tall with<br />

resistance to BCMV.<br />

Pole Beans <strong>—</strong> Pole beans yield two to<br />

three times more than bush beans from<br />

the same space and are easier to harvest<br />

however they require a 5 to 8 ft. tall support<br />

(trellis, teepee, or single-pole). Germination<br />

temperature: 70° F to 80° F. Germination is<br />

slow and poor when soil temperatures are<br />

below 60° F.<br />
