1905 Red Russian 25 - 50 Gray-Green 24 - 36" Leaves are very tender compared to other kale varieties. Leaves are purple-veined, flat,<br />

non-curled and tooth-edged. Stems are purple.<br />

1900 Blue Ridge F1 52 - 60 Dark Blue-Green 18 - 24" Slow bolting. Leaves are full curled and easy to strip. Can also be machine harvested<br />

and / or used for processing. Widely adaptable.<br />

1907 Winterbor F1 52 - 60 Dark Green 18 - 24" This productive plant produces finely curled leaves. Yields and cold hardiness are rated<br />

excellent. It will reproduce leaves after cutting. Slow bolting, suitable for hand stripping,<br />

mechanical harvesting and processing. Winter hardy – Vates type.<br />

1901 Blue Scotch Vates 56 Bright Blue-Green 18 - 20" Finely crumpled leaves are hardy, resists yellowing in cold weather. Can be<br />

over-wintered in some areas.<br />

1903 Improved Dwarf Siberian 60 - 70 Blue / Gray / Green 23 - 26" Extremely hardy. Broad, thick, plume-like leaves with slightly frilled edges. Not nearly<br />

as curled as Scotch types.<br />

1904 Premier 65 Deep Green 12 - 15" Produces heavy leaves with slightly scalloped and serrated margins. Excellent forage<br />

kale with vigorous short stem plants for higher digestibility and outstanding cold<br />

hardiness. Exhibits rapid regrowth after grazing for peak pasture efficiency.<br />

1954 Express Forcer F1 45 Smooth Oblate Light Green Has a very slow bolting ability for spring sowing. Semi-upright, small and short plant<br />

with green medium length leaves and petioles and no side shoots. The compact plant<br />

makes for close planting.<br />

1952 Grand Duke F1 50 Smooth Semi-Globe Light Green Easy to grow in limited space; this hybrid develops quickly and is ready early. It can be<br />

left to grow up to 4" in diameter without becoming fibrous. Mild in flavor and its texture<br />

when cooked is crisp.<br />

1956 Early Purple Vienna 50 - 55 Flat Globe Purple Plant grows 10 - 12" tall with reddish-purple bulbs of 2 - 3" in diameter. Best harvested<br />

when bulbs are 2".<br />
