Lawrence (Larry) Mandelkehr, MBA Systems/Policy/Informatics lmandel@unch.unc.edu SON Partner: Cheryl Jones Larry is the Director, Senior Quality Analyst/Programmer/Quality Advisor for the UNC Health Care System, Performance Improvement Department. He facilitates cross-departmental performance improvement teams for the purpose of coordinating and enhancing patient care across the continuum of care, improving organizational effectiveness, and educating patients and staff to better utilize scarce resources and lower hospital costs. Anna Kate Owens, MSN, RN, FNP-BC Primary Care/Nurse Practitioner annakate_owens@med.unc.edu SON Partner: Deborah Mayer Anna works as a nurse practitioner at the UNC-CH Clinical Cancer Center, UNC Breast Center, Medical Oncology, UNC School of Medicine Division of Hematology/Oncology. She is leading efforts with other nurse practitioners at the Cancer Center to develop a Breast Cancer Survivorship Clinic. Louise Peele, MSN, PNP-BC Primary Care/Nurse Practitioner/Children’s Health Louise.peele@gmail.com SON Partner: Debra Barksdale Louise is a PNP for Carolina Family Health Centers in Wilson, NC where she provides all aspects of primary care to pediatric clients and families, many of whom are medically underserved and from diverse populations. She precepts our nurse practitioner students. Karen Poole-Dawkins, RN, MSN, APRN, BS System/Policy/Informatics - Psych-Mental Health kfpoole@unch.unc.edu SON Partner: Theresa Raphael-Grimm Karen is a Nurse Manager for the Adult Psychiatry Service at UNC Hospitals in Chapel Hill. She is responsible for a 48-bed adult and geriatric psychiatry service. She precepts both undergraduate and graduate students. Elizabeth Sherwood, RN, MS, ANP-C Adult Health/Psych-mental Health Sherwood@med.unc.edu SON Partner: Deborah Mayer Elizabeth is the Coordinator of Survivorship Programs at the Cancer Center at the UNC Cancer Hospital and Lineberger Comprehensive Cancer Center. In this capacity she assesses the needs of patients during and after treatment for cancer and conducts a needs assessment of the outpatient clinics to identify needed programs and services for cancer patients. She is also the Co-Director of Patient Counseling Services at the Cancer Center.
