Tammy works at Forsyth Pediatrics in Kernersville, NC as a PNP. In addition to her expertise in<br />
pediatric primary care, she has expertise in healing touch therapy, and provides guest lectures<br />
about nutrition in the “Commit to be Fit” program for middle and high school students.<br />
Ken Steenson, MSW, LCSW Critical Care/Children's Health<br />

Ken is the Inpatient Manager for the UNC Health Care Systems in NC. He provides<br />
direct management and oversight to all patients throughput activities in the NC Women’s<br />
Hospital and the NC Children’s Hospital, as well as multiple specialty units throughout the<br />
organization.<br />
Judith Swasey, RN, MSN, ANP-C Adult Health/Surgical Oncology/NP<br />

Judith is a Nurse Practitioner at UNC-CH where she is responsible for the Breast and Endocrine<br />
programs for the Surgical Oncology Department. She has also successfully implemented the<br />
‘Sole Sisters Women’s Exercise Program’ as a community outreach program with training to<br />
approximately 100 women each year on the benefits <strong>of</strong> regular exercise.<br />

Tammy is a Nurse Practitioner in Gastrointestinal (GI) Oncology at UNC-CH where she<br />
assesses, diagnoses, and treats adult oncology. She brings her GI cancer expertise to her<br />
mentoring NP students as preceptor and lecturer.<br />
Elizabeth Watson, MSN, PMH-NP Psych-Mental Health/NP<br />

Elizabeth is a Family Psychiatric-Mental Health Nurse Practitioner/Clinical Nurse Specialist at<br />
First Health <strong>of</strong> the Carolinas where she precepts our students. She has given numerous paper<br />
presentations on family mental health issues at regional and national conferences.<br />
