In addition to her expertise in pediatric primary care, she has expertise in healing touch therapy, and provides guest lectures about nutrition in the “Commit to be Fit” program for middle and high school students. He provides direct management and oversight to all patients throughput activities in the NC Women’s Hospital and the NC Children’s Hospital, as well as multiple specialty units throughout the organization. She has also successfully implemented the ‘Sole Sisters Women’s Exercise Program’ as a community outreach program with training to approximately 100 women each year on the benefits of regular exercise. She has given numerous paper presentations on family mental health issues at regional and national conferences. She consults with faculty and students about the clinical care of patients who are undergoing treatment for brain malignancy. He precepts students during their first clinical experience to their final capstone clinical course. For the past 5 years he has served as preceptor for “Child Health Issues in Primary Care,” a required clinical course. She works with our undergraduate students to assure a challenging and interesting pediatric rotation.
