Quality and quantity
With its capacity of 1,400 m 3 per hour, DWP Botlek is one of the
biggest demineralised water plants in the Benelux. The customers
use the top quality demineralised water primarily as boiler feed
water. The quality of the water that the plant produces is such that
it is immediately suitable for use as feed water for most steam
boilers (average conductivity < 0,2µmS/cm). The water quality complies
with the values given in Table 1 at least.
However, in some cases it may be that steam boiler suppliers set
even higher requirements for the feed water. In such cases extra
treatment may subsequently be required and Evides Industriewater
can facilitate this relatively easily on site by implementing a post
purification stage in the form of polishing using ion exchange, for
example.

demineralised water facility
• The clients of DWP Botlek take in high-quality demineralised
water as a commodity instead of having to produce it
themselves;
• A collective system has intrinsic buffer capacity and portfolio
buffering;
• The clients have the option to peak intakes and variations
in their intake profile at competitive costs since the portfolio
levelling of the total intake profiles allows for peak
mitigation;

in their minds securing maximum operational excellence
through asset management schemes and using their skills

Evides Industriewater is a subsidiary of Evides N.V., supplier of the
drinking water in Zeeland, the southwest region of Zuid-Holland
and the Brabantse Wal.
As the biggest supplier of water services to industry in the
Benelux, Evides Industriewater is responsible for the production
and supply of industry water, demineralised water and water for
the agricultural sector. In addition to this, Evides Industriewater has
various industrial and domestic wastewater treatment plants available
which it manages.
Evides realises these plants on the basis of DBFO contracts, where
Evides is responsible for all stages of the realisation of the plant
through to maintenance and operational management.
