CROSSPOINT @ COLONIAL PARK—
WORSHIP AT 8:00, 9:30 AND 11:00 A.M. by Dave Biser
We’ve celebrated Easter and moved right into the heart of Spring together. What an exciting
time of the year. And how exciting it is to see all of the things that are happening
each week at CrossPoint @ Colonial Park. Sunday mornings are filled with great worship
and biblical teaching. Wild Wednesday’s have the building jumping with food, rehearsals,
children and middle school student events, Bible study taught by Pastor Dave, and more. There is a new
air of excitement and a new spirit driven energy that is contagious. The building phase of the NEXT Project is
completed and the worship center looks great. All we need to do is finish raising the final $15,000 needed to replenish
the Capital Fund monies used to pay it forward. And now there is a new Sunday morning education opportunity
happening at 11:00 for those folks who attend the new 9:30 service. Invite your friends to see what God is doing at
Colonial Park…it’s nothing shy of Incredible!
FINDING YOUR WAY @ COLONIAL PARK
On February 26 th the Colonial Park campus made the switch in worship times and the
contemporary service moved from Sholter Hall to the Worship Center. Below are the answers
to a few commonly asked questions.
 What is the preaching schedule?
There is now only one preacher @ Colonial Park every week. The pastor preaching
for the day speaks at all three services. Pastor Dave is the primary preacher @ Colonial Park. He will be preaching
in the worship center three times a month. Pastor Jen will be preaching the third Sunday of the month. Pastor
Jen will be preaching at Rutherford on average two times a month and will be at South Hanover at least
quarterly.
Why is there a half hour between education time, 9:15-10:30, and worship at 11:00?
While education is over at 10:30, we still need 30 minutes to reset and transition the worship center from the
blended 9:30 service to the contemporary at 11:00. Many churches already have this schedule of a half hour
interim to give people enough time to end class, rest, visit with friends and grab a cup of coffee before heading
into worship.
 When is education time?
Education for children, youth and adults is still offered at 9:15 a.m. A few adults have expressed interest in an
education class at 11:00 a.m. If you are interested please contact Helen Patrick at hpatrick@xpointumc.org.
The doors are sometimes closed to the Worship Center; am I allowed to enter?
A lot of transition takes places between each worship service. The musicians need time to check the sound system
and prepare to offer you the best possible worship experience. This is your church and you may still enter
the space, we ask that you please be patient with the musicians who need a quiet room to properly set the
sound equipment.
Change is never easy. We believe that the new worship space provides one distinct area for worship and allows time
for community building in the hallways and lobby. Please be patient with your church as we work out the kinks of
the new sound system and the new traffic patterns throughout the building and the grounds.
