DEcIDE Health Outcomes of Carotid Artery Disease (Agency for Health Care

The Duke DEcIDE Network Center proposes to collaborate with the Centers for
Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) Coverage and Analysis Group to develop a
comprehensive approach to inform key clinical and policy questions related to CAS
(including research needs), that takes maximal advantage of available data, and
links to the existing mechanisms for technical assessment available to CMS.
Expanding Quality Care for Glaucoma through a Provider-Patent Partnership
Our proposed study is a community-based, randomized, controlled trial that
evaluates the stability and effectiveness of a technology-based (tablet computer)
intervention within the context of a novel partnership between optometrist and
patients with glaucoma to improve the process quality of care and ultimately
outcomes of care.
Collaborative Research of Clinical Effectiveness and Long Term Outcomes of
Stents in Coronary Interventions (DEcIDE Network)

Two DEcIDE centers will undertake a series of varied and inter-related research
work assignments to understand the benefits and harms of stents in coronary artery
disease.

The support the production of quality Evidence Reports that can be used and
understood by appropriate stakeholders, the EPC shall commit adequate time and
resources to advancing the methodology of systematic review. The EPC director
shall be involved in regular schedule calls with AHRQ to identify, discuss, and work
towards developing a standard approach to key methodological issues in
systematic review. The degree of involvement shall be determined by AHRQ
needs, program priorities, and EPC technical resources. What approval from
AHRQ, the EPC shall also support dissemination of research finding from AHRQ
supported EOC report through oral or written presentation to relevant stakeholders
and the public.
