The filter shows a cut <strong>of</strong>f <strong>at</strong> around 50 kHz wh<strong>at</strong> could not be verified by measurements <strong>of</strong><br />

<strong>the</strong> closed loop phase noise sketched in figure 53. For <strong>the</strong> loop filter parameter estim<strong>at</strong>ion <strong>the</strong><br />

reference phase noise <strong>of</strong> <strong>the</strong> locked 81 MHz VCXO has been scaled by a factor <strong>of</strong> N = 16 32 , <strong>the</strong><br />

phase noise <strong>of</strong> <strong>the</strong> freerunning DCSO oscill<strong>at</strong>or, <strong>the</strong> simul<strong>at</strong>ed locked loop phase noise and <strong>the</strong><br />

measured locked loop phase noise are sketched in figure 53.<br />
