March 24, 1998: Mitchell Johnson and Andrew Golden opened fire outside their middle<br />
school, killing five people and wounding 10 others. Prior to the attack, Johnson and<br />
Golden pulled the fire alarm, luring the students and teachers outside the building and<br />
into the gunmen’s line of fire. The boys stole a cache of weapons from Golden’s<br />
grandfather’s house. Reports state that the boys had warned classmates of the impending<br />
attack.<br />
