May 20, 1988: Laurie Dann opened fire at an elementary school, killing a second-grader<br />

and wounding five other students. Dann then shot a man in a nearby house. Prior to the<br />

attacks, Dunn, who had a history of mental illness, lit a house on fire, attempted to<br />

firebomb a school, and delivered poisoned snacks to people she knew.<br />
