buttons, beads, embroidery threads; fabric layers stitched together<br />
then slashed and distressed. Beads created by wrapping fabrics and<br />
threads around straws; wrapped pipe cleaners; hand and machine stitching.<br />

In the sixties I was often called a daydreamer<br />
because of a naïve conviction that we should dispose<br />
of individual countries and become citizens of<br />
the world. Now I am in my sixties and still a daydreamer.<br />
Inspired by the Hippie era and the artist's<br />
photograph of layered rocks.
