the Dawn<br />
…But today, well lived, makes yesterday<br />
A memory of happiness<br />
And every tomorrow a vision of hope.<br />
Look well,therefore,to this day!…<br />
For as long as I can remember, Kalidasa's poem has<br />
been a part of our family's life with my father reciting<br />
it at family milestones and my mother embroidering<br />
the words for each family member. Inspired<br />
to continue the family tradition, I have created this<br />
abstract quilted interpretation of the poem. My vision<br />
of hope was always the sunlight streaming through<br />
a clear blue sky. Hand quilted by Elaine Holditch.
