marketing sponsorships, sporting events, trips or tours, capital<br />

campaigns, endowments, or research studies.<br />

Homework Assistance Program, in-person drop-in academic mentoring<br />

program and online tutoring program where youth receive free homework<br />

help from specialty trained high school mentors and professional online<br />

tutors.<br />

1976. Centro de Informacion, Elgin, IL. $15,000, 2009. For <strong>the</strong> Center’s<br />

homework assistance programs. A computer center will be established<br />

to give students a place to do homework, work on assigned projects, play<br />

educational games, etc. Most children are from low-income families and<br />

do not have access to computers in <strong>the</strong>ir homes.<br />
