Conductive Carbon Black
Specialty Carbon Blacks
for Plastics, Rubber, Power Cables and Paint Applications
Main features
Specialty carbon blacks produced by TIMCAL BELGIUM are socalled
‘conductive carbon blacks’ having a high level of
structure with chain-like aggregates. These enable the building
of a conductive network in polymers at low to very low carbon
black levels. The various ENSACO carbon blacks differ by their
specific surface area, structure level and stability. They offer a
good protection against electrostatic discharges and electromagnetic
interferences. As an example, good balance of properties
is achieved with:
ENSACOTM 250 G
• conductive carbon black
• low surface area and high structure
• easily dispersible
• high purity
• low water absorption
• low cure inhibition
• suitable for most polymer applications
Applications
ENSACO carbon blacks can be incorporated into an unlimited
number of polymers such as polyolefins, engineering plastics,
rubbers, technical rubbers, silicones, fluoroelastomers, epoxy…
to serve technical applications like:
• antistatic packaging
• handling of electronic components
• films
• power cables and accessories
• the automotive industry
• belts
• hoses
• seals
• protective coatings
• non-conductive niche applications
