Dear LeQuene:
Ask LeQuene
I will be going on a tour through France this summer and plan to
continue my training. I need some tips on the best way to meet French
women runners.
Race Brown
Dear Race:
The best place to meet runners, male or female, is at the track, so
plan on finding a track and running intervals.
When you see the woman that you want to meet resting along
the side of the track, run up to her, and using your best, most
nasal accent, say “Croyez-vous au coup de foudre ou peut-tre je
devrais courir un autre tour de piste?”
English subtitle: “Do you believe in love at first sight or should I
run another lap for you?”
Pronounced: krwoi-yay voo o koo de foodr oo pur tetr zshuh
devray kooreer ah nautr tour de peest.
Trust me. You’ll leave her weak at the knees. ~ LeQuene
Don’t get tongue-tied at the track
Wit
turtle, he picked up the
snapper by the tail and
carried it across the road to
Half Moon Lake, where he
released it.
Mike had done his good
deed for the day and impressed
his friends with
his bravery. I know I never
would have had the guts
to pick up that snapping
turtle.
We resumed our run, and
about a mile farther down
the trail, a rabbit darted in
front of us.
“Hey,” Dave laughed.
“Now we’ve seen the tortoise
and the hare.”
Got a problem?
Oh, you know you
do.
Ask LeQuene! She’s
always ready to offer
some saged advice to
any running problem.
Who knows? Your
problem might even
get better. We sure
hope it can’t get
worse!
E-mail the editor at
pmez@homail.com,
and he’ll forward it to
LeQuene.
