PART II | 3. ARRIVAL AND DEPARTURE CHECKLISTS<br />

3.1 GENERAL<br />

All vessels and tugs of 300 grt or more and/or 45 metres in length must notify VTS.<br />

If the vessel intends to call at or pass through the Port of Göteborg the vessel’s master, the<br />

vessel-owner or a representative of theirs shall notify the Port Authority of this intention not<br />

later than<br />

24 hours before arrival. For calling at the oil harbours refer to Regulations in the Oil<br />

Harbour.<br />

Notification should be made via TRAFO. An access password can be obtained from Port<br />

Control. Send a completed Advance Notification of Ships form to the Port Authority, Sea<br />

Traffic, and Appendix II when submitting written notification.<br />

The master of the ship shall notify the Harbour Master’s Office of the departure time, not later<br />

than when the ship is ready for departure.<br />

The Port Authority may, with respect to the ship’s passage time or any other circumstance,<br />

consent to a shorter notification time or grant exemption from the obligation of notification.<br />
