featuring Eric Dolphy in a quintet format with trumpeter Booker Little. As a bonus, two tunes originally issued under<br />

the name the Jazz Artists Guild, both of which were recorded on the same date and each featuring one of the stars of<br />

Far Cry: Dolphy on ‘T’ain’t Nobody’s Business if I Do’, and Little on ‘Cliff Walk’. [Item Code: 66491 CD: $16.00]<br />

99030 LEE MORGAN THE LEGENDARY QUARTET SESSIONS [1957-1960] All of Lee Morgan’s studio<br />

recordings in a quartet setting through 1960, compiled here for the first time ever on a single CD. Contained within<br />

are the complete sessions that produced the celebrated album ‘Candy’, the trumpeter’s only entirely quartet album<br />

ever. Also here are various single quartet tracks from sessions that otherwise featured additional horns. ‘Blakey’s<br />

Blues’ featuring Morgan as the only horn with various percussionists has been added as a bonus at the end of the<br />

99033 CHARLIE PARKER BLUEBIRD-LEGENDARY SAVOY SESSIONS [1945/1947-1948] Compiled by<br />

experts on Parker, this CD issue contains six sessions by Parker’s vintage 1945-1948 band, featuring two young<br />

musicians who were his best and most efficient collaborators (Miles Davis and Max Roach), plus two pianists who<br />

left their mark on the evolution of Bop (Bud Powell and John Lewis). The first session also features Dizzy Gillespie<br />

playing piano. As a result, on this CD are some of the most authentic and meaningful samples of the new style: ‘Meandering’<br />

(inspired on ‘Embraceable You’), and, particularly, ‘Now’s The Time’, ‘Billie’s Bounce,’ or the masterful,<br />
