The course, which surrounds Coconut Plantation, is part of a lush, protected habitat that is home to uncounted migrating birds and even rare, protected species like the gopher tortoise, bald eagle and whooping crane. A stroll along the manicured fairways takes visitors past nesting areas of blue herons and great white egrets. Small wonder the course has been awarded Audubon International’s coveted Gold Certificate for its careful management of the environment. But the course is also a championship facility, offering challenges for golfers of all levels. Unlike most Florida golf courses, Floyd designed Raptor Bay with no formal bunkers or roughs. He used natural elevation changes, native vegetation, mature trees and grass evenly mowed to create a unique experience where control and placement are essential. PAMPERING SPA Visitors come to the pristine shores of the Gulf of Mexico for the renewing powers of water, ocean breezes and lush tropical splendor. These same qualities are found in rejuvenating treatments at the 19,000-square-foot Stillwater Spa, just off the lobby of Hyatt Regency Coconut Point.
