organisation of the day. Thanks also to Anne Arnold for her assistance with some great prizes on
the day.
Congratulations
Well done to our Years 4 -‐ 7 students who recently competed in the AB Paterson Public Speaking
Competition. Our student representation at this competition was the highest it has ever been.
Well done to all involved but especially to Lily Beechey, Italia Malik and Jasmine Rasmussen on
making it through to the next round of the competition. Very importantly, thank you to the
committed group of teachers who have worked so hard with these students in preparing them.
Thanks to Mr Mason, Mrs Portelli, Miss Spyer, Mrs Thorburn, Mrs Sleeth, Mrs Nelson and Miss
Rankine. Your efforts are hugely appreciated.
Congratulations also to four of our gymnasts who have been selected to attend the Women’s
Artistic Gymnastics National Club Championship in Geelong in November. Tayah Semple-‐Lewis will
be competing in the Level 4 Division, Natasha Jelacic and Kate Napier in Level 5 and Rachael
Armstrong in Level 8. Congratulations to all four young ladies and our best wishes go with you for
the championship.
Year 11 Leadership Speeches will soon be under way. This is an opportunity for any student in
Year 11 wanting to nominate for a Year 12 leadership position to explain their thoughts and
aspirations on school leadership as the upcoming senior leaders. What is most pleasing is that 25
Year 11 students have nominated to be considered for leadership. Congratulations and best
wishes to all students involved.
Next Week
Next Tuesday night we have the P & F AGM. If you only attend one P and F meeting all year,
please make it this one. We look forward to seeing as many people as possible.
As you would have seen in last week’s newsletter, next Wednesday night at 7:00pm our annual
Night of Excellence will take place in Perugia from 7:00pm. This is a great recognition for those
students in our community in Years 7 -‐ 12 who have excelled in many different areas. Again, we
look forward to a great crowd on the night.
