All-West Region Second Team. Named to the ASC All-East
Division First Team as a center fielder and ASC All-East
Division Second Team as a utility player. Additionally earned
ASC All-East Division Honorable Mention as a pitcher. Hit
.410 with 14 homers and 49 RBI in 40 games. Posted a
.827 slugging percentage and a .500 on-base percentage.
Stole 11 bases, recorded 12 doubles, had 57 hits, scored
51 runs and finished with 115 total bases. His batting average, slugging percentage,
home run, on-base percentage, total bases and RBI totals were among the
top ten in the ASC. His slugging percentage, home run and walk (25) totals led
the team. Ranked 11th in NCAA III in homers and 10th in slugging percentage.
He was twice named ASC Hitter of the Week. Hit a modern-day school record 3
home runs against Lyon College March 11. Finished 3-for-4 with 4 RBI in that
game. Had five 3-hit games. Posted a season-best 4 hits against Hendrix April
1. Recorded three 4-RBI games. Had 5 RBI against Williams Baptist April 15.
Homered in 12 different games. Scored 3 runs on four occasions. A defensive
standout, he had a number of spectacular plays in the field, including a home
run saving catch in the ASC playoffs against Concordia University Texas. He
also saw time on the mound, finishing with a 5-1 record in 48.1 innings of work.
Against LeTourneau March 29, he pitched a five-hit complete game.
SOPHOMORE (2007)
Named to the ASC All-East Division Honorable Mention Team. Ranked second on
the team in hits (58), stolen bases (9) and third in RBI (34), runs (35) and total
bases (72). Was fourth in batting (.345). During the season, he had a 22-game
hit streak, the team’s longest of the year. Had 19 multiple-hit games, including
14 games with 2 hits. Went 3-for-5 with 4 RBI against Mary Hardin-Baylor in
