The money raised goes toward Culver High clubs and athletics. "We encourage all Centaur parents, alumni, and fans to come out and have a good time playing blackjack, craps, and roulette," said Culver sports announcer/statistician Greg Dynabursky. "We're hoping for a good turnout; I'd like to see about 200 guests attend this event." Gambling chips will be exchanged for raffle tickets. There will be several prizes as well as a silent auction and RamFunkshus will provide music entertainment. Tickets are $25/person or $40/couple. The booster club is also looking for individuals or businesses to sponsor a table for $300. Anyone interested in attending or sponsorship can contact CCHS Athletic Director Jerry Chabola. "Carnage Extends at Actors' Gang "Carnage, A Comedy," The Actors' Gang's satire about televangelism and the state of religion in America, co-written by Adam Simon and Tim Robbins, has extended at The Gang's Ivy Substation home in Culver City. Performances continue Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays at 8 p.m. and Sundays at 3 p.m. through March 29. "Carnage, A Comedy" follows the ridiculous pilgrimage and ultimate demise of televangelist Cotton Slocum (VJ Foster). The play's twisted world is rife with survivalists, mercenaries, righteous bunnies, bloody yuppies and ministers calling men to arms. Boy Scouts Honor Former Mayor Marcus Former Culver City Mayor Richard Marcus has received the Silver Beaver Award from the Boy Scouts Of America Western Los Angeles County Council. The award is in recognition of noteworthy service of exceptional character to youth in the area. It is the highest honor a council can award to its volunteers.
