Morey Weekly Announcements, November 19-23, 2012
Schedule Notes
Remember, there is NO SCHOOL ON NOVEMBER 21,22 or 23 (Wed-Fri) next
week. Enjoy your Thanksgiving break!
The 2 nd trimester begins on Monday, November 19 th . Students will receive their
new schedules in their 1 st period class on Monday. Report cards will be printed and
send home the week of November 26 th .
Parents at Pickup Time
We realize it is a bit of a jam picking up kids at Morey in the afternoon. With everyone’s
cooperation, we can keep students safe and ease the traffic congestion on Emerson, 14 th
Avenue and in the east parking lot. Please be patient as you pull up to pick up your kids.
We are getting reports of double parking, honking and parents exchanging frustrated
words with each other. Remember, your kids are watching you and model your reactions
and behavior! Please be aware of where you are stopping to not block traffic or cars
parked in the lot. It may be easier to park up the street and meet your child at the corner.
We appreciate your patience and cooperation.
Helpers at Recess
Parents have been coming at recess time to lend a hand and give extra coverage so we
can open the fields for students to play soccer and football. If you have time to come
volunteer for any of the recess periods, contact Jen Heth at
Jennifer_Heth@dpsk12.org for details and the schedule. There is an online signup
for 6 th grade recess volunteers at
http://www.signupgenius.com/go/5080F45ACA92EA02-recess .
