Catholic Women’s League, Te Puke.
In August we held our main fundraiser for year, a street stall for our Mission Station.
With support from Parishioners, we raised $1500.
In September we hosted the Eastern Area Regional Day.
Long term member Marion Williams has passed away.
In October our A.G.M. was held. Members elected to the committee were:
President: Rose Henderson.
Secretary: Iona Donovan.
Treasurer: Noeline Eglinton (for over 30 years).
In November we recited the Rosary at the cemetery, followed by a cuppa at the
President’s home. On the 30th we attended an interchurch coffee morning where
Jessie Smith of the National Evangelisation Team in Australia gave an excellent talk
on her two years with the team.
In December our Christmas meeting is to be held on the 12th with an exchange of a
$5-00 gift. On the 13th, members will serve on the Waipuna Christmas Tree appeal
for four hours.
