Passionist Family Groups
We note with great sadness the passing of Maggie McGuire on
the 6th November 2011. Maggie, together with Garry were coordinators
of the St.Patrick’s Family Group until her illness forced
them to step down. It was comforting to see how Maggie’s strong
faith enabled her to bear her illness, in displaying great courage
and dignity and still smiling even to the end. It was our privilege
to journey with Maggie through her illness and to witness her devotion and belief in
our loving God and Saviour. It was a very powerful testimony to witness. Maggie will
be dearly missed and we continue to support Garry in the days ahead.
RIP, Maggie.
One of the aims & goals of Passionist Family Groups is to support each other in times
of need and celebration. One of the strengths of Family Groups that comes to the fore
is when situations such as an illness alert us to reach out to others. There have been
many instances where people have reached out and “lived their faith in action” and we
thank them for their generosity
The prayer chain continues to be kept busy - always a reminder that there are always
others in need of prayerful support.
As the festive season fast approaches, we take this opportunity to wish the Community
of St. Thomas More a very Joyful Christmas and a Peaceful and Happy New Year.
May the Passion of Jesus be always in our hearts
