Dear Parish Community,
From St. Thomas More School
It has been a very busy but rewarding year here at St. Thomas More School. The
children have participated in a variety of learning experiences. It has been a pleasure
being able to be part of and joining with you in some great experiences.
One of the experiences that the teachers and children have felt has been invaluable
in regard to their faith development has been our inclusion in Friday morning Mass.
We really enjoy joining in as part of the Parish Community. We would like to say a
big thank you to Chris Jaeger for providing the readings and prayers for us for these
Masses. Chris is a big part of our liaison with the Parish and makes everything so easy
for us.
We have also been very lucky to have been able to join in with the Parishioners of
St. Patrick’s Parish twice this year. The first was when we went across for St. Patrick’s
Day Mass. Then just recently for a Christmas Mass and Concert. The people at St.
Patrick’s Parish always make us feel very welcome and we love the morning tea. Thank
you for being very welcoming to us.
Another show of support from the Parish to our school was when we had our Market
Day. It was great seeing so many people come and join in the fun of Market Day. The
children felt that their efforts were worthwhile. The money has gone to some very
worthy causes, because the reason for the day was not to raise money for themselves,
but to do something for someone else.
The school would like to take this opportunity to wish everyone a safe and Holy
Christmas and we look forward to learning and working alongside you next year.
Kerry Duncan
(Assistant Principal, St. Thomas More School.)
