Resources Overview
Uni�co GmbH as a mining company starts its mine cycle with a JORC stated
Inferred Mineral Resource of 148 million tons with copper grade of 1.1%
and gold content of 0.75 g/t. The Company has a ready-to-mine Probable
Mineral Reserve of 1.05 million tons grading 0.85% for copper and 0.34 g/to
for gold. Ongoing exploration towards depth will quickly add further
Resources and Reserves.
Throughout Chile’s history, mining has consistently been a
leading industry in the country. The 1990s marked the
beginning of a boom in Chile’s mining industry, especially
in copper mining, principally due to FDI in the sector. In this
time period Chile had one of the fastest growing economies
in the world and mining accounted for 8.5% of the
GDP and 47% of exports. Moreover, the ongoing establishment
of new technologies, including those aiming to take
better care and advantage of Chile’s natural resources,
promises the mining sector will continue to prosper in
years to come.
The RABIA mine property is located about 600 km north of
Santiago and about 45 km southwest of Vallenar (Provincia
de Huasco), in Northern Chile. The property is readily
accessed from Vallenar or from La Serena by highway and
dirt roads.
According to JORC Code and Guidelines (2004), the
Company starts its mine cycle with a �rst near-surface (30
m) Inferred Mineral Resource of 148 million tons containing
1.63 million tons of copper and 110 tons of gold. The grade
values are 1.1% for copper and 0.75 g/t for gold. Continuing
exploration will quickly add further Resources towards
depth.
The Company has a near-surface (10 m) Probable Mineral
Reserve of 1.05 million tons containing about 9,000 tons of
copper and 0.36 tons of gold. The grades are 0.85% and
0.34 g/t, respectively. This Reserve can be mined immediately,
generating thus quickly positive cash �ow. Ongoing
exploration towards depth will rapidly add further
Measured Resources.
The Company believes its operating costs will be low given
the resource grading, presence of a groundwater stream
on the property, existing infrastructure, easy road and
railway access and proximity to deep water port.
The Company has full title and claims to the RABIA
property.
The property is located in the southern part of the Candelaria
IOCG (Iron Oxide Copper-Gold) Belt of Atacama region
in Northern Chile.
The Company has the legal right to use water resources
found within the limits of its premises.
