Just for your information, the service provided for the<br />
European shooters at these events is really something.<br />
Each gun mandacturer brings along their portable<br />
workshops. They do alterations or repairs on the ground.<br />
Because shooting is such a recognized and respected sport<br />
in Europe, and because of the numbers of people involved,<br />
the gun manutacturers and cartridge companies go out of<br />
their way to woo the shooters.<br />
It was a very succeasful tour for the Olympic <strong>Clay</strong> <strong>Target</strong><br />
team: a team 2nd. individual 3rd. 5th, 8thand two 10th. No<br />
one can dispute that our trap shooters are world class, and<br />
the results augur well for the Olympics.<br />
Winchester Australia is to be congratulated and thanked<br />
for making cartridges available for the <strong>Australian</strong> team<br />
members. They were much appreciated by those who<br />
<strong>Association</strong> has made an excellent application, and, if<br />
granted, there will be a separate competition for women<br />
shooters. Women's team events, as well as women's<br />
individual events will be held, so all Olympic Trap (trench)<br />
&d Olympic Skeet shooters, atart practising. Our women<br />
shooters have had to compete against the men for places in<br />
overseas teams. This is an opportunity for Australia to<br />
show rhe world just how gwd our women shooters arc.<br />

BiU Stevens: Bill has resigned as Queensland's Coaching<br />
Director. He was a foundation member of the National<br />
