Sub-project Details Title of the sub-project State the title of your project Problem statement � Based on the description and objectives of the World Bank-financed project to be supported and the scope and objectives of CSO monitoring activities described in the project specific Terms of Reference posted on HELVETAS Nepal website, describe your understanding of the issues and problems to be addressed. � Describe your understanding of the context of the activities, including the underlying causes of the issues to be addressed. � Describe possible obstacles in carrying out the activities and how you would deal with them. Sub-project objectives � State in bullets your overall objective and the specific objective with less explanation. This should relate to the problems given above. 2
Proposed Approach and Methodology � Indicate your approach to carrying out the activities and any specific methodologies you would employ � Indicate the geographic area and the target beneficiaries of the project to be involved in the sub-project and the rationale for their selection, also indicating how they will be affected by the sub-project. � Indicate the staff to be involved, other CSO resources that would be engaged, and how you would be organized to conduct the work. � If your CSO proposes to collaborate with other partners, such as other civil society groups, these groups should be identified and their agreement to participate in the project already assured. � Since cooperation with implementing agencies is critical to the success of the activities, indicate how your CSO would cooperate with the implementing agencies and other involved government authorities. � Indicate project duration using the grant funds. Expected results and outputs: � List the expected results as precisely as possible in relation to your problem and the objectives mentioned above. Possible results include the effects of the CSO activities on the implementation processes and outcomes of the project being supported, the performance of implementing agencies, and impacts on potential and actual beneficiaries and communities in the project area. � Describe how the results would be measured and documented � Briefly state the potential of the scaling-up and possibility of implementing your project idea in a different region or globally � Also, indicate how the CSO’s activities would be reported as well as any other outputs expected. 3
