understanding of the issues and problems <strong>to</strong> be addressed.<br />

� Describe your understanding of the context of the activities, including the underlying<br />

causes of the issues <strong>to</strong> be addressed.<br />

� Describe possible obstacles in carrying out the activities and how you would deal with<br />

them.<br />

� State in bullets your overall objective and the specific objective with less explanation. This<br />

should relate <strong>to</strong> the problems given above.<br />

Proposed Approach and Methodology<br />

� Indicate your approach <strong>to</strong> carrying out the activities and any specific methodologies you<br />

would employ<br />

� Indicate the geographic area and the target beneficiaries of the project <strong>to</strong> be involved in<br />

the sub-project and the rationale for their selection, also indicating how they will be<br />

affected by the sub-project.<br />

� Indicate the staff <strong>to</strong> be involved, other CSO resources that would be engaged, and how<br />

you would be organized <strong>to</strong> conduct the work.<br />

� If your CSO proposes <strong>to</strong> collaborate with other partners, such as other civil society groups,<br />

these groups should be identified and their agreement <strong>to</strong> participate in the project already<br />

assured.<br />

� Since cooperation with implementing agencies is critical <strong>to</strong> the success of the activities,<br />

indicate how your CSO would cooperate with the implementing agencies and other<br />

involved government authorities.<br />

� Indicate project duration using the grant funds.<br />

Expected results and outputs:<br />

� List the expected results as precisely as possible in relation <strong>to</strong> your problem and the<br />

objectives mentioned above. Possible results include the effects of the CSO activities on<br />

the implementation processes and outcomes of the project being supported, the<br />

performance of implementing agencies, and impacts on potential and actual beneficiaries<br />

and communities in the project area.<br />

� Describe how the results would be measured and documented<br />

� Briefly state the potential of the scaling-up and possibility of implementing your project<br />

idea in a different region or globally<br />

� Also, indicate how the CSO’s activities would be reported as well as any other outputs<br />

expected.<br />
