SCHEME DETAILS
Clifton Road Old Bridge Demolition
To Achieve this we will construct:<br />
• 3 New Bridges Structures<br />
• Replace 2 Decks<br />
• Reconstructed a New Over Bridge at Clifton Road<br />
• Replace a Footbridge at Dog Kennel Down<br />
• Streng<strong>the</strong>n a Culvert Structure over <strong>the</strong> River Lea<br />
• Refurbish an existing Bridge over <strong>the</strong> M1<br />
• Under-pin an existing Bridge at Crawley Green Road<br />
• Demolish 10 existing Bridges
To Achieve this we will need to:<br />
Build 3000m <strong>of</strong> Retaining Walls:<br />
• 1300m <strong>of</strong> Gabion Wall<br />
• 650m <strong>of</strong> RC Wall<br />
• 250m <strong>of</strong> Reinforced Earth Panel Wall<br />
• 350m <strong>of</strong> Bored Pile Walls<br />
• 500m <strong>of</strong> Reinforced Earth Solutions
To Achieve this we will need to:<br />
• Remodel and improve 9 Highway Junction/Intersections<br />
(Includes Bridge to At-Grade Conversions)<br />
• Construct 4 Bus Stops along <strong>the</strong> route<br />
• Build a new Station Drop-<strong>of</strong>f access and turning area<br />
• Construct a new Bus Interchange at <strong>the</strong> Station.<br />

STRATEGY FOR SUCCESSFUL<br />
DELIVERY<br />
• Design a busway system and develop construction methodologies<br />
which meet <strong>the</strong> project budget.<br />
• Maintain a “Risk Aware” Approach, to enable early and effective<br />
identification, management and mitigation <strong>of</strong> risk throughout.<br />
• Maintain good communication and close liaison with <strong>the</strong> client team<br />
throughout, to deliver a high quality product.<br />
• Maintain good communication with all stakeholders ensuring<br />
everyone is kept “in <strong>the</strong> picture”.
