George Enfi eld, MHR, Med, PCC, is an independently Licensed Counselor
in the state of Ohio, where he currently works with preadolescent
boys and infants and toddlers. He has been working with children since
1993 and has a broad range of experiences in individual and family counseling,
in both inpatient and outpatient group settings. This broad spectrum
of experience has taught him that clients provide both the language
and desire to work on their own issues and it is our job as clinicians to
hear them and adapt what we know about counseling to them so that
they are able to make the most of the treatment.
Dora Finamore , EdD, is a professor at Northcentral University and has
worked as a psychotherapist for the past 25 years. She is a Registered
Play Therapist and founding editor of the Florida Play Therapy Association
Newsletter. Dr. Finamore has served on the task force for ethics
and policy for the Association for Play Therapy. She is a teacher of play
therapy, child psychology, positive psychology, cognitive psychology, and
peace and social justice studies. She has been published numerous times
and has worked extensively with clients and professionals on parenting,
grief, and trauma. Her research interests are learned helplessness, positive
psychology, resilience, and personality. Her most recent publication
is on resilience.
Danny Fingeroth was the longtime Group Editor of Marvel Comics’
Spider-Man line, was consultant on early versions of what was to become
the 2002 Spider-Man movie, and has written many comic books for Marvel
and other companies. He is the author of Superman On the Couch:
What Superheroes Really Tell Us About Ourselves and Our Society
(2004) and of Disguised as Clark Kent: Jews, Comics and the Creation
of the Superhero (2007). Fingeroth has spoken about comics and popular
culture at venues including The Smithsonian Institution and Comic-
Con International, San Diego, as well as on National Public Radio’s All
Things Considered and NBC’s Today Show, and has written about them
for publications including The Los Angeles Times and The Baltimore
Sun. He teaches comics and graphic novel writing and appreciation at
New York University and The New School. His Rough Guide to Graphic
Novels will be published in 2008.
