“The controller can commutate the motor <strong>in</strong> two different ways: us<strong>in</strong>g Hall effect sensors to<br />

to sense rotor position, elim<strong>in</strong>at<strong>in</strong>g the need <strong>for</strong> Hall sensors. The AeroConversions<br />
controller will <strong>in</strong>itially employ a Hall effect sensor-equipped motor, but back-EMF<br />
controll<strong>in</strong>g will also be explored to potentially further simplify the AeroConversions motor<br />
design. The AeroConversions controller will also provide <strong>in</strong>-cockpit monitor<strong>in</strong>g of battery<br />
