<strong>St</strong> J’s Kids and <strong>the</strong> <strong>St</strong> John’s Congregation<br />
Picnic Church (a <strong>St</strong> J’s Kids <strong>in</strong>itiative) cont<strong>in</strong>ues<br />

Kids families actively participated <strong>in</strong> our worship<br />
outdoors <strong>in</strong> God’s creation at Otari Wilton bush.<br />
With <strong>the</strong> bar-b-ques function<strong>in</strong>g this year, many<br />
families also stayed on after <strong>the</strong> service to eat a barb-que<br />
lunch and socialise.<br />

and serve morn<strong>in</strong>g tea to <strong>the</strong> congregation <strong>in</strong> <strong>the</strong><br />
Hall after church once a term. The success of <strong>the</strong><br />
‘W<strong>in</strong>gers’ (Yr 5&6 children, ages 9-11) morn<strong>in</strong>g<br />
tea <strong>in</strong> March meant that <strong>the</strong> Halfbacks (preschoolers)<br />
and <strong>the</strong> Centres (Yr 1&2 children, ages<br />
5-6) eagerly took <strong>the</strong>ir turn. The one rema<strong>in</strong><strong>in</strong>g<br />
team, <strong>the</strong> Fullbacks (Yr 3&4 children, ages 7-8)<br />
are anticipat<strong>in</strong>g <strong>the</strong>ir turn with fervour! A very<br />
unique experience for <strong>the</strong> Congregation to be served<br />
morn<strong>in</strong>g tea by a rugby team after worship!<br />
